It takes place every year at Palácio da Bolsa (close to Luis I bridge), ESSÊNCIA DO VINHO is considered the main wine event in Portugal. Although it goes from 20 to 23 of February, this Couchsurfing event intends to gather people on Saturday 22nd - it’s the only day I’m going this year. The general entrance daily ticket costs 30€ on Saturday, it offers you a wine tasting glass and allows you to taste all the wines present at the event. If you don’t drink alcoholic beverages or wine, this event is not for you. I also advise people to bring some stuff to eat and water, although you can also buy some sandwiches and water at the event, and to be responsible and moderate enough. I offer myself to explain how the event works, to give information about the tasting, the brands, the wines and regions.
