SEA Crash 2023

Welcome to SEA Crash 2023! Join us for a long weekend of fun in the Emerald City where we’ll explore its best highlights including beaches, bonfires, ferry rides, hikes, breweries and more! Please rsvp to the individual events listed below so we can have an accurate count. Non-couchsurfing friends are welcomed - a couch crash is a hell of a way to introduce people to Couchsurfing. What is a couch crash? It's when a local Couchsurfing community puts together a weekend of events to showcase all that their city has to offer! We'll remind locals to keep checking public trips and host if they can. If you can't find a host, there are many options for hostels, Airbnb, and hotel rooms. Transportation: Getting around is best by bus and light rail. Use the app Transit Go for bus, light rail, or water taxi tickets, otherwise you can buy an Orca transit card at light rail stations and some QFC supermarkets or use cash. A bus day pass will come in handy. Parking is difficult to find in many neighborhoods, so try to use public transportation or carpool. Most events will be in/near the neighborhoods of Capitol Hill, Downtown, Ballard, and Fremont. Weather: July is the driest and warmest month in Seattle, averaging only four days of rain and a high of 75°. That being said, it does get chilly at night so don’t forget to bring an outer layer, preferably one that doubles as a rain jacket.
