Not in Yerevan, not hosting!!! Currently traveling in Asia Now in Bali Note: As a rule of thumb, I mostly interact with Couchsurfers with at least 5 references Instagram: shahen_balyan Chaotically traveling since summer 2023. Originally from Armenia. I am on a mission to explore as many countries as possible :) And what I mean by exploring is that I want to live a certain time in a place and feel the local vibe of the city/country before moving somewhere else. Also, it's always lovely to make new connections and friends, form short term routine. This is, in short, how I love to explore places :) Other than that, I am a guy from IT management that loves chess and other intellectual activities. I dedicate my free time to gym, bicycle rides and hiking. I am very social in real life, and always down to do cultural exchange and meet interesting people or just make adventures happen :) Thus, feel free to ping me :)
I'm always in a positive mood. Communication and talking with new people, that's what I like more. Even when I'm tired after a whole working day, I'm ready to take a city tour with big big love. Because of my work shifts, I can't host as often as I want. But I'm always ready even for a 2-hour meeting.
I'M IN RUSSIA NOW, I WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR HOSTING IN YEREVAN AFTER AUGUST 19th 2026. I'm Simon, 28 years old. I'm originally from Moscow, but now based in Yerevan. A bit about me: I work in finance (specifically hedge funds), which keeps my mind busy with numbers and strategies. Outside of work, my biggest passions are math, astronomy, and philosophy. I love diving deep into abstract concepts, staring at the night sky, and discussing the big questions in life. Why I'm on Couchsurfing I think it's one of the coolest ways to travel without actually going anywhere. I love the idea of opening my home and meeting people from all over the world. It’s fascinating to learn about different cultures, share stories, and have long, engaging conversations on everything from astronomy and philosophy to everyday life, all without having to leave my neighborhood. It makes the world feel a lot smaller and more connected. Why Armenia? Just for the fun of it! People often assume I moved due to politics, but that's not the case at all. I'm fully comfortable with the situation back in Russia. I simply felt a spontaneous urge to experience something new, and Yerevan captivated me. So, I decided to pack up and live here for a while, just because I could. It’s been a great adventure. And hey, it's almost summer! ☀️ It would be super cool if someone wants to rent a sailing yacht on Lake Sevan on weekends. A yacht for 4 people plus an instructor costs $190 – the more people, the cheaper per person. If you'd like to stay with me and chat about the universe, finance, or anything in between, please begin your couch request with 'barev' (hello in Armenian) so I know you've read my profile! Looking forward to meeting you! 🌍

I'm an Egyptian living in Armenia, who loves to travel, explore the world, and see new people and cultures while living simply. I travelled to 20 countries till now, I've met, made friends and business with people from more than 50 countries and I consider myself to be very cosmopolitan and open, believing that what units us as humans is more than what divides us, I don't care about anything, if you're a human (or a cat also), we can find a topic to discuss, a meal to share and be friends passing over any language, cultural, social and other imaginary barriers. ---- I hosted people from 24 countries in 6 continents : - Europe : Russia, Ukraine, France, Portugal, Germany, Georgia, Spain, Hungary, Belgium, Italy - Asia : Japan, Iran, Philippines, Oman, Lebanon, Myanmar, China - Africa : Egypt, Nigeria, Morroco - South America : Brazil, Colombia - North America : USA, Mexico - Oceania : Australia Total Hosting times : 39 Number of people hosted : 59 And I'm willing to host even more diverse cultures in the future, with the goal to host someone from every continent (even penguins from antartica) and every major region in the world! ---- I can and would love to discuss anything, philosophy, mathematics, sciences, tech, astronomy, world politics, culture, food, music and everything in between, and I'm open to new cultures in general. I like walking, expect to walk a lot when we're staying together, while discussing a lot of things :) I also like dancing, I'm into social dancing in general, and I have my fair share of bachata, salsa and kizomba. Also I cook well, I can make over 50 recipies from many countries, and regardless on how we will meet, I'll make you something that tastes good.. and I share my recipes :D I'm all into new experiments, whether it being climbing a mountain, learning a new dance or eating exotic food, I'll be your #1 to encourage you to make this leap and try the new thing. Looking forward to meeting everyone!
Hi, I'm Seda, a passionate programmer who loves travel and discovering new cultures. I enjoy learning native languages to connect with the places I visit. Outside of coding, I stay active with yoga, tennis, volleyball, and skiing in winter. I also enjoy solving puzzles and taking long walks to clear my mind. I'm always seeking new challenges to grow mentally and physically.
I believe life is about movement, emotions, and people. I organize events and build exhibition stands. I love when ideas come alive, people connect, and good energy fills the place. I’m passionate about traveling — from climbing volcanoes in Kamchatka to road trips through Turkey or relaxing by the sea in Egypt. I enjoy city walks, coffee talks, festivals, sports, nature trips, and spontaneous adventures. Always up for something active — even if it’s just a random trip to Paris 😉 I’m kind, honest, empathetic, romantic, and driven. I value open-minded, genuine, and positive people who share the same vibe and energy ✨ My favorite quotes and principles: “Life is short — enjoy it.” “Everything starts with a dream.” “Every moment is an opportunity.” Be kind. Be honest. Do good things — and the world responds the same way. IG: https://www.instagram.com/olegvolkovv

WE ARE NOT HOSTING GUESTS IN YEREVAN — WE ARE NOW BASED IN SPAIN Hi, I’m Marina! In the past I traveled a lot — been to about 30 countries. I lived 2 years in Germany, over a year in Southeast Asia, and the last 4.5 years in Armenia. We recently arrived in Spain and applied for the digital nomad visa together with my husband, now waiting to hear back. A new chapter is beginning — and before settling anywhere, we’d love to explore Spain and see different parts of the country first. My husband and I love running and taking part in races together. Back in Yerevan I played violin and drums, and Vladimir plays bass guitar and piano — it would be so cool to find a music community here to jam with.
