CURRENT MISSION Survive this decade... The below mission was written in 2010...i was so naive 🤣 Save the world! I aspire to be a kick-ass public health professional and make a difference when it comes to climate change/ agriculture/ local food markets/ environmental health. ABOUT ME Born and bred in Cluj, studied theology just to be sure, nurturing an amazing love for languages, trying to be as creative as possible, expanding daily the list of movies seen, eclectic regarding music, appreciating people who appreciate my sense of humor, talkative...so you'd better not be shy. I'm currently working from home at an IT company so I'm happy to host, share dinner and hang out at night. PHILOSOPHY Live long, enjoy life in a very hedonistic way, absorb as many positive things as possible, be it the glowing energy of the people surrounding you, the amazing beauty of nature or the cultural difference that makes each of us so unique.
Love to travel the world! I'm a very open minded person who loves to share and hear stories with other people and experience new places and people. I believe this life is more about experiences rather than wealth and material things.

I love road trips
I love nature, the sea, forests, trees, and animals. One of my favorite activities is hiking. Walking in the fresh air gives me peace, renews my energy, and makes me feel happier. Besides that, exploring different countries and new cities is a great source of happiness for me. Every new trip offers the opportunity to get to know different cultures, see unique landscapes, and create unforgettable memories. Discovering new places inspires me and gives me different perspectives on life, turning every trip into a special experience. Metin
Take an amateur wordsmith that dreams of horses and socialism. Add an incompatibility with standard society and a constant curiosity regarding anything. Add a pinch of unconventional humour, an adversity for a monotonous life and excessive enthusiasm and you've got a reasonable chunk of me. The rest is quite difficult to grasp - I started a huge note trying to map out my existence. My immediate conclusion was that I should prioritize a healthy life, since I want to have as many years as possible to explore stuff from campervan roaming and self-sustaining habitation to developing games. Everything, yes, please and thank you.

I'm a software engineer living in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I enjoy traveling and discovering new places, meeting people and learning about different cultures. I'm not particularly drawn to famous attractions that are often crowded with tourists. If I have to choose between visiting a renowned city like Paris or a remote village in Guatemala, I would definitely choose the latter. I have an interest in geography, sports — especially football (I used to be a football referee in high school), history, engineering, and learning new languages
I am a boy who loves traveling and getting to know each country's cultures
I'm welcoming new people and exoeriences
We are Gyöngyi and my husband, Paul, living in Cluj-Napoca, Romania and we are on this platform because we love the couchsurfing community and spirit. I, Gyöngyi, found a new hobby in discovering human emotions, psychology, human behavior, brain functions and feelings and such, Paul is always excited about history, football (Arsenal forever) and finances. We’re a good mix of everything. And we both love yoga and we're pretty crazy about dancing (west coast swing). We enjoy sharing our travels and life experiences with people and just as much – if not more – find delight in listening to stories. Our biggest „accomplishment” is a 3-year-lasting full-time travel in Europe living in our self-converted campervan, which we finished in 2022. We are also vegetarian. The easiest way to say it is we don't eat meat or fish or any animals which used to be alive before ending up on our plates. And we have a dog. A german shepherd mix, Devi, who's all grown up (got over the dinosaur period 😊) and is a very good boy (slightly reactive towards other animals). He has a somewhat shy personality; he will most likely ignore you after the first 10 minutes. He’s not crazy about being touched either (he tolerates it 😊). And of course, he sheds a lot. If you decide to visit us, be aware, there’s a good amount of dog hair despite our everyday effort to get rid of it. We call it “dog glitter” :) Since we live in a flat, without any garden, if you choose to stay with us there’s no way you can avoid meeting him 😊. For this purpose, please reassure us in your message that you’re comfortable being around big dogs. What do we like?... We love mountains, in all shapes and forms. Hiking, sleeping in a tent, looking at the stars at night, being in nature as much as possible. And we also love spending time with people. Sharing ideas, believing that all people are different yet very much the same. We love animals (obviously). We love long conversations and sometimes we love silence as well.
