. I'm a medical doctor with experience in both clinical medicine and public health, including several missions with Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) across different countries. Although I no longer work with MSF, those experiences deeply shaped my worldview and strengthened my love for connecting with people from diverse cultures. I've recently moved to Europe and currently live in Verona, a beautiful city in northeastern Italy. At the moment, I’m focused on getting my medical degree recognized here while embracing this exciting new chapter of life. Having lived in different cultural contexts and learned several languages over the past 10 years, I’ve collected many interesting stories. One of my favorites is how I discovered a passion for swimming—something I only learned at 39! 😂 I’ve also taken up yoga, which has become an important part of my routine. I’m a great listener, always curious about how people live and think. I’m very open-minded, non-judgmental, and genuinely enjoy deep, meaningful conversations. Once I settle into a decent apartment, I’ll be happy to start hosting couchsurfers. Until then, I’m open to meeting up or helping however I can if you’re in or around town.
What can I say....I am old...oh yesss but still funny and curious and that's , I think, is very important. So come and enjoy a day walking and chatting and telling me your story and I will tell you mine. I think that what I said is enough.
CURRENT MISSION Find my place in this strange world ABOUT ME Born and raised in Verona, I’ve spent years both hosting travelers and exploring the world myself, sharing unforgettable experiences with wonderful people along the way. I’m clean, respectful, and genuinely curious about new cultures, local foods, and different ways of living. Professionally, I have a background in Computer Science and currently work in the renewable energy sector, focusing on photovoltaic systems. I deeply value sincerity and authenticity in connections. My Philosophy: Don't take life too seriously, you'll never get out alive anyway!
I was born in Bologna and I grew up there, then I moved a bit around... Cesena, Swansea (Wales) and for quite a long time I lived in London (UK). Finally, I recently moved to Verona, where I currently live and work!

*Don't send requests too early, I can't plan for longer than a week. Or be ready to get a "maybe" as answer and write closer to the dates *I usually don't host couples, I prefer friends or just single persons I'm 34 years old, Italian, living in Verona, working in school as a teacher of German language. I know many languages and I lived some years abroad (Germany, Russia, Iceland, Italy, Croatia, Austria) and had the chance to travel to many places, now I'm happily enjoying living in Italy and doing my job. I would be glad to host you in Verona and show you around if I have time. I'm outgoing, talkative and welcoming with guests, flexible, uncomplicated and adaptive when travel. I can travel in different conditions and I like adventures, my comfort zone is quite broad. I like to laugh and make people laugh. I like to travel avoiding airplanes, instead travelling by land in a slower way. I do both hosting (in Verona) and being hosted while travelling - let's keep this community alive and spread the couchsurfing soul! ABOUT VERONA Verona is a marvellous city and there is much more than only Juliet's balcony: the city is 2000 years old and if you visit the centre with some local people you will discover that every corner of the old town hides old layers and buildings from roman, medieval, renaissance, austrian and modern time. I hope true ´travellers´ can go beyond the commercial brand of City of Love or Romeo and Juliet´s city, since we are instead a smaller sister of Rome. Ah besides that, Juliet´s balcony is fake, it was a stone sarcophagus and it was installed in its actual position about 100 years ago because the city council wanted to create a spot recalling Shakespeare's drama. Nowadays thousands of people struggle in the crowd to get there and see something fake that doesn't say anything about the real historical and artistic treasure of the city. If you´d ask me, I´d say you would better avoid it and visit other spots, where you really understand why this place is so interesting and particular. Feel free to ask for suggestions.
CURRENT MISSION I hope to know a lot of people from different countries so we can compare our experiences and view various different attitudes towards life. I'm a volunteer guide (not professional) to the city. ABOUT ME I like to spend my time reading books, going to the cinema or the theatre, travelling, when it's possible, so that I can see places I've never been in and take photos of them. Now I like singing also (not only in the rain but also in the sun). Every day, 24/7, from 8am to 1pm I'm open minded, from 1pm to 3pm I'm very open minded, from 3pm to 5pm I'm narrow minded, from 5pm to 7pm I'm open minded again, from 7pm to 8.30pm I'm narrow minded enough, from 8.30pm (8.27 in winter time) to 10pm I'm open minded definitely, from 10pm to 1am I'm open or narrow minded if the weather is good or not, from 1am to 7am I'm sleeping, from 7am to 8am I am what I am. This timetable varies if in Italy there is a public holiday. For private holidays I can't tell you. PHILOSOPHY To be a nice and original person and let others to be different from me persons. The important truth is self-evident and needn't to be written! Haribo macht kinder froh und Erwachsene ebenso. While world is getting older I grow vintage. My current trip has been the last one (to repeat over and over)
I am an open-minded person who genuinely values dialogue and the exchange of ideas. I enjoy sharing opinions and life experiences, not to convince, but to understand and be understood. I strongly believe that sharing and cultural exchange are among the most powerful ways to grow as human beings. Every meaningful encounter leaves a trace, expands perspective, and enriches both sides. For me, connection is not casual — it is transformative. I approach every interaction with respect, curiosity, and the willingness to learn.
I subscribed in 2020, best idea 😅 I am a soul citizen of the world, I am a traveler, the future will always be a surprise. Surfing around the world, I realized that my city, Verona, is just beautiful, the city center, the Garda Lake and the Dolomites here around. I'll be glad to be your guide and trip-advisor, with a due notice. Yep, I'm a busy guy! I am indeed an international business lawyer, yet my passion is organizing events, parties and making cocktails. I also love to cook (yes, I will cook for you but don't get used to it😄). And I play the piano. I talk a lot and with everyone, (but I also enjoy meditating under trees in the wilderness) To summerize, let's share our experience, in Verona, Garda Lake and the Dolomites! Ah by the way, my mom lives not far away from my house, and she's a doctor, so in case of emergency 👩⚕️
Hi! My name is Edo and I'm 38. I live in the marvellous city of Verona and ion the lake Garda. Me and my cats Anita Mafalda and Pita Sirtaki can't host you often but, if free, we would love to share our time with you in front of a well cooked meal and a couple of glasses of beer or wine. PS: My house is not a free hostel or Airbnb. Only last minute requests for a sleeping spotwill be accepted (who travel knows what does it mean to be stuck with no acomodation) any other request will be considered on personal interest. If possible to me, I really enjoy to share time with my guests. If that is not possible I will be more than welcome to share with you my fav spots in my city, lake Garda and surroundings. Last but not least , even if I cannot host you I'll be more than happy to meet in the city to show you around or just grab an aperitivo talking about our travel experiences.

I’m Italian but in the last past years I lived in Taiwan, Vietnam , Malaysia, Australia. After spending years traveling and living across Asia, and carrying Latin roots within me, openness is not something I practice ,it’s who I am. I don’t experience places on the surface. When I live in a city, I live it fully…its rhythms, its people, its hidden corners, its unspoken rules. I love connecting cultures, sharing knowledge, and helping travelers understand a city instead of just visiting it. Whether it’s a local habit, a mindset, or a small detail most people miss, I enjoy passing on what I’ve learned through real experience.
