CURRENT I do spend time between Memphis and Hawaii in addition to traveling. I never plan too far out, and travel is usual spontaneous. I just returned to Memphis from Mongolia. Hopefully in September I will travel to Siem Reap ABOUT I am enjoying life a day at a time. I get inspired by listening to your travel experiences. Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/robert.baumer.547 PHILOSOPHY Be interesting, laugh often, and smile a lot.
CURRENT MISSION Catch Me in Traffic ABOUT ME My best friends think I'm a hoot. A person who doesn't care what other people think of him (I mean you do care to a certain degree, but screw it you know?) Not to toot my own horn, but I think I'm the goofiest person I know. I think people are people regardless of color , education, class, BUT if you come at me about your race, education, and class makes you feel superior, the conversation is DONE. PHILOSOPHY I'm from the southern United States and it's a pretty conservative, closed-minded region. So with that said, I believe you can learn something from everyone you meet if you're willing to be all ears about it, but the political climate in the States is pushed to be less about policies and more about bigotry, which I don't condone. If you feel like you're on the conservative side, my conversation is done with you.
I'm a Teacher living in Midtown, Memphis. I have four well-travelled, highly-cultured and multi-lingual cats; two of them have official kitty passports.
CURRENT MISSION Live Yesterday to the fullest, since tomorrow may never get here. ABOUT ME **** TO AVOIDS UNFORTUNATE DOUBLE BOOKINGS, PLEASE MAKE A FORMAL COUCH SURFING REQUEST *** A bit about me. I live in the heart of downtown Memphis with my dog Blue. I work for a small mom and pop package delivery company called FedEx, which I love. Well, I love the people that I work with, and I mostly enjoy the job itself. I am also a college adjunct business professor, which is a blast. I love to cook (especially for other people), go out to new restaurants, movies, road trips and traveling, taking Blue to the park, or just hanging at the apartment and relaxing. I have been blessed with a lot of great friends and family that live near by. I love new adventures and meeting new people. I especially like it when I am able to see their lives from their perspective. PHILOSOPHY Politics takes a backseat to what is right!

We are frequent (though not at frequent as we'd like) travelers. Both of us served in the Peace Corps in Tanzania for 2+ years. Pete is a Colorado native, and Lesley is a native of Washington. PHILOSOPHY Take care of others. Everything we do should leave the world a better place for our passing through it. ⵙⵎⵢⵔ ⴱⵛⴰⵔ Hey y’all & welcome to my little corner of the world! 🌍✨ Thanks so much for stopping by and checking out my profile. My name is Samir. I grew up in a small village just outside the magical city of Fes, Morocco—a place filled with ancient streets, rich traditions, and the smell of fresh bread from the bakery every morning. As a kid, I learned how to farm and live close to nature before moving into the city for my studies. Life has taken me on quite a journey since then! Along the way, I’ve: • Worked as a third-grade teacher (kids are the best teachers, too!). • Taught Arabic to English speakers and English to Arabic speakers—language exchange is one of my favorite ways to connect. • Had the privilege of working with individuals with special needs, an experience that truly shaped my heart and perspective. A few years ago, I packed my bags and moved to the United States. Since then, I’ve been soaking up a whole new culture, exploring hidden gems, and meeting people who’ve inspired me in countless ways. I recently graduated from the University of Memphis with a degree in Supply Chain Management—a field I love because it’s all about movement, connection, and discovery (kind of like traveling!). What excites me most is conversation and connection. Whether it’s sharing stories about travel, diving into culture and history, exchanging ideas about business and life, or just laughing over something silly, I believe every person I meet has something amazing to teach me. If you’re looking for someone who’s open-minded, curious, and always up for a good chat, I’d love to connect. Wherever we meet—over tea, coffee, or just a walk—I’m sure we’ll create a story worth remembering. 🌟 So don’t be shy—let’s share a journey, even if it’s just for an evening.

We will be happy to receive your request and will quickly let you know if we can host you. **Reminder: In your request please be sure to confirm you are a non-smoker. If your request does not state that you are a non-smoker, we will reply that we are unable to host you. Thank you.**
