We're a German-Australian family, living on Kabi Kabi country in the Sunshine Coast, South East Queensland, Australia. Hi :) We live in a rustic little cottage in the forest in the hills behind Noosa where we’ve been based for a decade+. Couchsurfing is important to us a a way to keep in-real-life human sharing and heart-felt hospitality alive and well in the world - bridging cultures, geographies and worldviews. Erin was raised in Brisbane/Australia. Marcel was born and raised in Wuppertal/Germany. Hazel, our little boy, was born in Oct-23. This profile has been Erin's since 2008 when she first started Couchsurfing. Most of the references are just for her in for many happy travels staying on couches around the world. Long time Sunshine Coast resident living in an ocean view pad a stone throws away from the beach and the sea side town of Coolum. I Love the outdoors including surfing and hiking. Enjoy a wine or a coffee on the balcony with sweeping northerly views. Very social.

Dear Couchsurfers, We love hosting young or young at heart travellers, who are friendly, positive, independent explorers, Verified members, and non-smokers. We'd like to know a little about our visitors beforehand - your age, occupation, education, and home country We offer a stay of 2 to 3 nights, but we need several days notice to plan your visit. If you are new to the organisation, please ask your friends to write you a personal reference. And if you're travelling with a friend or partner, tell us about them too. We speak English at home but I'd love to practise some French. We will offer you breakfast, and also cook dinner for you on your first night. There's a supermarket just across the road, and you can use the kitchen to prepare your own breakfast or packed lunch. You will be invited to cook a simple meal for us on your second night. Any help in the kitchen is welcome. You will be able to independently explore the beautiful Sunshine Coast, either walking, on our bicycles or using easily accessible, and currently very cheap, public transport. Two full days will help you to explore our beautiful coast, north to Noosa, then south to Caloundra. If you have your own transport, you could drive up to the beautiful Blackall Range. Please keep us informed as to your travel plans, and we will provide our address and WhatsApp number once your trip is confirmed. Our home is a town house in a resort with a swimming pool, a tennis court, and a park. There's a shopping centre, bus service, and a beach close by. We will provide you with your own bedroom and a single bed for your stay, and a bathroom for you to use. The laundry is available for hand-washing. Sorry we don't have WiFi. While you stay with us, your bedroom is your own private space. Leaving the room tidy when you leave is the best way to check that you have all your travel gear. Ask before stripping the bed as wash day concurs with the sun shining! Do confirm your arrival and departure times, to ensure we're here to both meet and farewell you.
