I try hosting as much as I can. I‘m very generous, but not rich. It means a lot to me if you BRING A BOTTLE OF WINE OR COOK YOUR FAV DISH :) If I’m not replying on time hit me up on instagram @joudicos ———— Hi! I'm Jordi from Barcelona. Some people call me Asher, which means happiness in Hebrew. I’m a jurist by education, deeply curious about the power of shaping reality. I resonate with the archetype of the lawyer-shaman, someone who articulates matrixes of reality. I try not to take life too seriously, while staying responsible and mindful of others. Love and humor move me. I value authenticity and wildness in people. I'm tolerant and non-judgmental, understanding that life is complex and much of it is relative. I see the bright side in everyone. I enjoy deep conversations on a broad range of topics: philosophy, religion, world cultures, geopolitics, arts, physics, and spiritual connections. For me, there is no absolute right or wrong. Instead, I see actions as being driven by either love or fear. I'm a passionate traveler. The hospitality of kind strangers has left a lasting impression on me, and I host as a way to give back good karma. Traveling is a great school of life. Hosting is, in a way, a continuation of traveling. I believe in the original spirit of Couchsurfing, a meaningful cultural exchange between humans. While I do occasionally host travelers in urgent need of a place for the night, I typically offer stays of up to two nights. If we get along and circumstances allow, we can extend. I only welcome good vibes at home :) This long comprehensive profile is intentional. I wish you also feel open to share who you are in a meaningful way. Below some of my adventures along the way =D Hitchhiked across the UK and Ireland at 18. Lived in an Israeli kibbutz at 19. Hitchhiked from Barcelona to Shanghai at 20. Co-organized the biggest college parties in Barcelona to fund student scholarships. Co-founded a youth movement for Catalonia’s independence (though my political perspective has evolved). Taught chess for children in London. Traveled Norway’s fjords in a campervan. Crossed Russia on the Trans-Siberian Railway. Entered China from Mongolia in a charcoal truck. Sailed the Indonesian archipelago. Studied hatha yoga and pranayama in an Indian ashram. Spent time in a Himalayan cabin in Malana. Crossed the Ganges River swimming two times. Slept on the streets of Tokyo to experience Japan’s homeless landscape. Got caught squatting a beachtront house in Taiwan, and then got invited to be resident artist in the same owner’s resort on the island. Hiked an active volcano in Indonesia. Joined the 2017 World Rainbow Gathering in Java. Helped plant a forest in Nepal. Organized a Spanish language school in China. Rented out villas in Vietnam. Lived in China for almost two years! :) Cycled from Istanbul to Barcelona. Sold drawings in the streets and markets of Taipei, Belgrade, and Berlin. Built a campervan in Canada and traveled across North America's West Coast. Had a cat give birth to kittens beside me on my bed on a full-moon night. Sat and served four times at a 10-day Vipassana retreat led by Goenka :) And many other stories of failures XD Lately, I’ve been working in HR Consulting for Finance and Technology in Zürich. I enjoy adventures with my VW T6 California campervan, bicycles and kayak :)

Life is always shifting, and so am I. I'm currently based in beautiful Lucenre, Switzerland, going through a new chapter after living with my wife — we’re now taking time apart and finding our own paths. By day, I work full-time (Mon–Fri, 9 to 6), and by night, I dive into the world of rhythm — I teach Salsa and Bachata for beginners and take classes myself three times a week. Music, dance, travel, and connecting with new people are what keep me energized. I’ve always been driven by curiosity — about the universe, about cultures, about people. I’m a Systems Engineer with a passion for science, astronomy, and the random magic of everyday life. Whether it’s deep talks or spontaneous plans, I’m up for the moment.
