Hello! I'm Julie, 28, and I'm traveling with my boyfriend Yvan, 33. We're planning to travel to Australia by recumbent bike, without taking a plane. Our project is called Cycle2Contribute, because we're combining a sporting and ecological challenge with a social dimension, as we want to stop off in certain countries to do some voluntary work. We carry all the equipment we need on our bikes to be self-sufficient (food, water, bivouac equipment, solar panels), but sometimes we like to sit in the warmth and meet people. That's why we're members of couchsurfing. I've done a lot of couchsurfing in the past, especially in Brazil, and it's always been a great way to meet people and immerse myself 100%. Nous avons comme projet de nous rendre jusqu'en Australie sans prendre l'avion, en vélo couché majoritairement. Notre projet s'appelle Cycle2Contribute car nous allions un défi sportif et écologique avec une dimension sociale puisque nous souhaitons nous arrêter par moments dans certains pays pour y effectuer des volontariats. Nous transportons sur nos vélos le matériel pour être autonomes (nourriture, eau, matériel de bivouac, panneau solaire), mais apprécions parfois nous poser au chaud et rencontrer du monde. C'est pourquoi nous sommes membres sur couchsurfing. Par le passé j'ai effectué beaucoup de couchsurfing notamment au Brésil et cela m'a toujours permis de faire de super rencontre et de pouvoir m'immerger à 100% .
