Originally from the US, I have spent the last 30 years in Costa Rica working in the nonprofit and technology sectors. As a founder of a startup and an educator, I have been deeply involved in nurturing the tech community here. My life in Costa Rica has been a blend of business challenges and rich cultural exchanges. Hey Surfers! We're Jean & Clari. We love meeting new people, discovering new places, and exploring everything from restaurants and coffee shops to bars and hidden gems. We’d describe ourselves as adventurous and always up for trying new things—whether it’s a new recipe, a new city, or a new hobby. Lately, we've been getting into pickleball (so if you play, let’s hit the court!). A little about us: Jean is an Electromechanical Engineer & physicist, enjoys video games, and sports (specially soccer). Clari is a Graphic Designer with a passion for creativity and movement, especially dancing! We both share a love for music, experimenting in the kitchen, and embracing new experiences. Whether it's a deep conversation over coffee, a night out exploring, nature adventures, or a cozy evening at home, we’re always open to sharing good vibes and great company. I'd describe myself as an individual who is highly interested in nature and about becoming more educated when it comes to environment and economics... I’m an industrial engineer and aspiring data scientist & Machine Learning engineer in the making. Constantly trying to push the envelope and get out of my comfort zone. I’m into nature a lot and have a strong passion for trees and orchids 🌲 🌳 🌸 I’ve got my own tiny reforestation projects here in Costa Rica in order to save endangered hardwood native trees. Also gotta confess that one of my biggest passions is craft beer. I love tasting new flavours and trying new forms of IPAs. 🍺 Coffee blends, books & bicycles are a big part of my life too... ☕️ 🚲 📖
