I'm an artist/video gamer/boardgamer A self proclaimed foodie. I love meeting new people, enjoying the simplicities in life and traveling to new places to explore. I believe in trying everything at least once in my life to experience everything life has to offer and consider myself a pretty open minded person. My art can be found on www.instagram.com/michymichellebelle GOAL: 3 Countries minimum a year and meet the awesome people residing there :-)..learning their cultures and getting intertwined with their worlds. ***FOR THOSE LOOKING TO BE HOSTED!** We are accepting guests!! I have a spare bedroom and a couch, and a back house with a futon and a convertible bed depending on the timing of the request. There is quite a bit of space. Sometimes there might be other surfers staying as well. It's not uncommon especially in summertime. The more the merrier! I try to approve 90% of my requests unless I'm out of town! I unfortunately only have time to show you around on the weekends. Disclaimer: This is not Airbnb, this is not a 5 star hotel, this is my home that I'm opening up to you. I try to cook nearly every night and always will invite you for a meal. If you like to board game or play video games, even better...we'll sit down for some gaming 😉. This is a home where you'll find random laughter and positive vibes and hopefully have a memorable experience!
I prefer staying in austere conditions than nice hotels or resorts. Big part of it is because I have a passion for disaster relief. I’ve created enough of my own disasters in life, so it is now time to give back. I have volunteered and worked for several agencies that allow me to deploy to places I would never think about going. I’m a lifelong learner (literally). Have been in school my entire life and still am in school (as a professor and student). I believe I can learn from anyone I meet, especially couchsurfer and hosts. Hi, I'm Chris. I'm a real estate investor, and lifelong Southern California local. My work keeps me busy, but whenever I have the opportunity, I enjoy meeting travelers from around the world and hearing about their adventures. One of the things I enjoy most about Couchsurfing is the conversations. Some of my favorite memories have simply been sitting around after a long day, swapping travel stories, learning about different cultures, and hearing perspectives I'd never experience otherwise. I've been fortunate to host travelers from more than a dozen countries, and it's been amazing watching complete strangers become friends. Many have even welcomed me to visit them if I'm ever in their part of the world. When I'm not working you'll usually find me walking my two German Shepherds, hiking, exploring the coast, or planning my next trip. I also enjoy photography, history, trying new restaurants, and anything that gets me outdoors. I speak English and I'm slowly learning Spanish.
ABOUT ME I'm a friendly, laid back fellow who loves to meet new folks! I have a 30-foot sailboat in a great location in Long Beach, California. If you're not familiar with sailboats, the accommodations are not luxury, but certainly cozy and all of my guests have enjoyed their stay so far! My boat is a 1975 Catalina 30, and she's got a wonderful motor and a good genoa sail for adventures on the water. If I am around to host, I usually end up sailing with guests. A good friend of mine has another boat about 50 meters from mine, which adds to the fun as well when he's around!

CURRENT MISSION To get out and explore. ABOUT ME I love hearing people’s stories, trying new foods, seeing remnants of ancient civilizations, understanding how history has shaped culture and meeting cats from other countries. PHILOSOPHY Live in the moment. Be honest with yourself. Take responsibility for your actions. Try not to hold on to too many things. Be kind. Make good decisions. Be yourself :-)
CURRENT MISSION Enjoy life ABOUT ME I WOULD LOVE TO HOST PEOPLE WITH PREFERABLY HOSTING REFERENCES SO I CAN GIVE BACK TO THE DESERVING PEOPLE THAT ARE ACTIVE IN THE CS COMMUNITY AND NOT ONLY SIGNED UP FOR A FREE HOTEL.... It is OK if you only found out about CS before traveling, but my advice to you is to make at least the effort to go to CS meet-ups before or during your trip to get some personal references and get to know the CS community. If I decline your Couch Request it is probably because you don't have any hosting references, or simply because I am already having a guest. We get so many requests in the LA area, and sorry, but often I don't have the time to add a message when declining. About Me: I have German and Pakistani origins growing up in Germany and living now in the US. I am a teacher and love my job not only because it is rewarding, but also because it gives me 3 month out of the year free to travel :-) I like to travel to places I have not been yet, connect with locals and discover their secret spots and food. In my free time I like to socialize and have good food. I try to keep myself active with yoga, hikes, and dancing. I am very good in keeping myself busy I actually never get bored there are so many things that I like to do and have not tried yet. PHILOSOPHY Treat others the way you want to be treated, with respect, kindness, and positive vibes and have the courage to standup for others that are being treated unfairly. Judge a person by their character and merrit and not by their race, gender, sexual preference, religion, social status, education and other irrelevant things. I support diversity and at the same time uniqueness of each individual. I prefer to be around genuine people rather than superficial. And last but not least face life with lots of humor.
I took my first solo trip to Mexico City and it completely changed my perspective on traveling. I'm in love with exploring new places as much as I am able to, take in all the sights, and learn new things. I don’t drink but I like a good mocktail! Anything pretty will usually do it for me in terms of drinks or food. Love: Jazz, live music, outdoor activities, eating good food.
I'm 35 full time Jiu Jitsu instructor, grew up in Brazil but live in Los Angeles for over 20 years now. My school is called Caique Jiu Jitsu and it's about 5 minutes walk from my house, if you want to take a class I'd love to have you. I love to travel to try new food, meet people and experience different cultures. At home I enjoy cooking all sorts of foods. I also go to the beach often when the weather is nice. I'm generally very active but also love to have a very quiet time and enjoy sunsets or great dinner.
Hey there! This is Naz, an easygoing and open-minded traveler who loves meeting new people and sharing great conversations. I genuinely enjoy being kind and making people feel comfortable. Dancing, especially salsa, is one of my biggest passions—so if there’s music, you might just find me on the dance floor! I believe life is short, and we should live it with positivity, kindness, and an open heart. That’s why I always try to go with the flow, enjoy the little moments, and make meaningful connections wherever I go. Whether it’s exchanging travel stories, exploring new places, or just having a good laugh over a meal, I’m always up for an adventure and great company. Looking forward to meeting fellow travelers and making unforgettable memories!
