CURRENT MISSION Enjoying all the little things! Always forgetting (or strategically depositing, whichever you like) my stuff everywhere. Working in the "museum field" managing grants and collections and planning exhibits. Trying to strike a balance between paying off student loans and getting my travel on.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I have LOVED my couchsurfing experience. It all started when I joined the Peace Corps in 2009. Someone had told me about it and I thought, since I was really living the life in the middle of nowhere on an island, I had lots of time and local know-how to share. It was so rewarding to be able to host and give folks a real look into village life in Samoa, it also gave me perspective about my situation and renewed my fascination and gratitude for the opportunities the experience afforded. Then turning it around and being hosted during my travels in New Zealand and Fiji, I was just amazed at the hospitality and good nature of the CS community. I recommend this to everyone and believe, as firmly as one can, that it is the ONLY way to travel!
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
The night sky in Samoa when the electricity in the village goes out. Arthur's Pass in New Zealand. Witnessing a beautiful Cairo sunset while listening to all the mosques in the city ring at once. Ise Jingu and the 88 Temple Tour in Japan. The sun rising above a sea of clouds from the summit of Mt Fuji. The Wailing Wall in Israel. Scuba diving in Fiji.
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
I'm not really in a good position to host, we have a love seat and the house gets very cold at night. But if you are in a fix and need a last-minute place to stay, I'm more than willing to offer the spot to one or two guests.
Mes centres d'intérêt
Currently I am back home in Seattle, having recently finished my MA in Museology and International Development at the University of Washington. I'm planning trips to Finland and Estonia and getting hitched this year, maybe squeeze in a trip to Cuba somewhere for a honeymoon too!
