Easygoing, curious and trustworthy (if I do say so myself...), I'm a geographer and tour guide by trade, a lone traveller who's travelled extensively around Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe. I'm a member of other organizations similar to CS, through which I've hosted, and been hosted by, many people all over the world. PHILOSOPHY Paul Theroux, my favorite travel writer, once wrote that "travel is the saddest of lifes' pleasures". So true, especially for those who travel alone. I believe in hosting, and being hosted by, fellow travellers as a prime experience and a true path to mutual cultural exchange, from which we all benefit.
