I've just started a PhD in climate science/oceanography/geology, which essentially involves studying fossil algae from around Antarctica.. which is great! I'm based at Cardiff University in Wales, UK, but I'm originally from London, England.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I just think it's such a great way to travel because you actually get to meet local people and can get a better feel for the places you visit. I also love hosting people when I can because it's fun having a flux of interesting people to talk to! If I can't host you for whatever reason but you still want to hang out and meet locals feel free to get in touch anyway :)

Mes centres d'intérêt
I'm passionate about the natural environment (hence the PhD), so I also love travel, as I'm sure everyone on here does, and being outdoors. Music is my other main passion.. I play many instruments not particularly well (currently trying to teach myself the trumpet) but I have played in bands and written songs etc for a long time. My other interests include food/cooking, anything of an artistic bent in general, and learning new things. I've also just discovered listening to Desert Island Discs (a BBC radio 4 program) as the best thing ever.
