CURRENT MISSION One day your life will flash before your eyes. Make sure its worth watching... ABOUT ME Hi, My name is Ian, I'm 34 but feel about 25 and I've been in London for 2 years. I'm Irish but haven't lived at home for many years. I'm a teacher and love my job (most of the time). I've been to about 40 countries in 5 continents and like to think I'm not finished yet. I'm sporty and play football, tennis and golf regularly. I always think I'd be great at sports I've never played. Maybe you can introduce me to something?! Anyway I love going out having a laugh, a few beers, good conversation, see new things and embracing new cultures. In one way I am quite outgoing but when it comes to stuff like this I think I'm quite shy. I av been very intimidated about joining this as I don't know how it will pan out but here I am trying something new. I like to think I'd try anything once. Except eggs, I have never had one and never will. Uggghhh. The thoughts of them make me shiver. PHILOSOPHY Life is there to be lived and I don't want to look back and regret things I haven't done...

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I joined because I'm interested in meeting people if and when I travel alone. I'd also like to welcome people to my couch and maybe we can explore London together... COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Still relatively new to this but I have now surfed in Latvia, Estonia and Poland. I never really had a suitable apartment to offer to people but now I have a bit more space and friendly flatmates. The door is now open...
Musique, films et livres
Movies-comedies or action thrillers Books-autobiographies and some fiction Music-listen to almost anything(easily pleased)
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Petra in Jordan is without a doubt the most wonderful sight I have experienced. Words can't describe it, you just have to go.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I once travelled to Armenia to go skiing. Lonely planet recommended the time we went as peak ski season. Unfortunately when we got there the season had ended almost 2 months earlier. And almost nobody in the country knew anything about skiing. We ended up spending a wonderful week exploring the vast amount of churches on offer but hardly saw a puff of snow. Moral of the story-don't take everything LP says as gospel.
