CURRENT MISSION I am intoxicated by the former Communist countires of Europe. I want to visit every soviet satallite country in Eastern Europe. ABOUT ME I had my first garden when I was eight. There always seem to be some new plant that I must have. About 7 years ago I started to learn the accordion. I am especially fond of traditional European folklore music. I live by myself in a small house outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. There is easy public transport very close to my home.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I just found out about this site from my local bike shop. I will be taking a trip to Hungary and Romania in a few days. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I have stayed in people's homes in Europe in the past,but it was totally by chance that I met my hosts. The wonder of this site is that you can plan to meet your hosts or guests.
Musique, films et livres
I just finished reading all of Jane Austen's books. Next I will do some of the Brittish Victorian authors. For my trip I am reading an autobiography about a Romanian during WWII. I adore world and folk music.

Last January I participed in The Mummer's Parade in Philadelphia. After a whole year of practicing and work on our music and costumes we spent the whole day playing in Philadelphia.
