I'm Katie. I like to draw dinosaurs, send postcards, and eat Thai food. I make jewelry in a basement dungeon studio and am trying to get a business off the ground. I love adventures and exploring new places, and I love to be outside. I enjoy solitude as much as good company. I am easily humored and don't take myself too seriously. Surfers please read my whole house description! I do not live in the city, nor anywhere close to public transportation. If you are visiting during winter, you need a car with four wheel drive or snow tires to get up my driveway.

I've happily hosted for the past two years and have made some fantastic friends and met awesome climbing partners. I had a great experience surfing myself for the first time in Montreal and I am looking forward to the many great people I will meet on the road.
Musique, films et livres
I love some good foot-stomping folk and a lot of indie rock, but I will listen to almost anything. I like being introduced to new artists. I'm a sucker for superhero movies.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I climbed my first big peak (South Teton, 12500 ft, WY) with my dad. I had come from sea level only a few days before, so I had altitude sickness the whole way up. It took us 14 hours total, but the feeling I got sitting at the top was unlike anything I've ever felt before. I couldn't really walk for a few days afterward, but I also couldn't get the smile off my face.

A friendly and considerate guest! I will wash your dishes and can even make you dinner if you'd like. I'm very easygoing and independent, so if you'd like to take me on a grand tour of your city, that's great! If you are super busy and can only offer me a place to sleep, that's great too!
