We're in our late twenties from North Carolina. We just quit our jobs to travel and unwind ourselves, it feels simultaneously exciting and terrifying. Katie was working for an international reproductive health non-profit and Matt was managing the best Deli in NC. Matt has a background in art and spiritual science and Katie has a background in anthropology and ecology. Now we're travelers. (We both find this part very awkward.)

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
To find the most comfortable couch in the world. Regarding travel, "personally I like going places where I don’t speak the language, don’t know anybody, don’t know my way around and don’t have any delusions that I’m in control. Disoriented, even frightened, I feel alive, awake in ways I never am at home. All of my senses suddenly come alert again and I can see, hear and smell..."

On our first road trip together, we listened to C&C Music Factory's Everybody Dance Now (Gonna Make you Sweat) 32 times in a row. It was Matt's idea. (This still feels awkward. )

Our interests include, but are not limited to: new experiences, the natural environment, music, comfortable silence, dancing, fruits, vegetables, DIY, front porches, hot tea, rocking chairs, alternative medicine, crafting, plants, bugs, rocks, puppiesandkittensandallthingscute, thrifting, being outside, reduing and reusing, women's reproductive rights, autonomy, climbing rocks, climbing trees, live music, spontaneity, self-acceptance, potlucks, fermented beverages, eclectic elders, change, stars, FUN, leaping outside of my comfort zone. Not interested in the patriarchy nor people who impose power over others.
