CURRENT MISSION I am working on my body (gym + running). Making up this semester. Might going on Erasmus. ABOUT ME I hate telling that I`m intelligent, smart, open minded :) but I have to admit that it might be true. I was born in Krakow and I have lived here for over 20 years. It does not matter how many siblings I have - the most important thing is that I am not the only one. In one word, I`m not selfish. I`m never vicious to people, never play vicious games with them. I am kind and polite but sometimes you might think that I am nervous or AD-HD. My friends say that I am a weirdo. It comes from that I am very emotional and I do care. I easily make new relations. PHILOSOPHY what goes around comes back around

Hmmm Malta: Me and my friend were hungry and did not have money for food, so I came to the restaurant and asked someone who was eating there if we could take a piece of pizza (we got it). Sleeping in a chapel at the airport and hitchhiking.

TRAVELING TO POLAND Useful travel tips General safety Krakow is a safe city, but just as in any large European city, one must remember some basic safety rules: Be cautious on public transportation. It is easy to become a victim of theft in crowds Do not carry documents, money or mobile telephones in easily accessible or visible places. Do not put large amounts of cash in one pocket In the evenings choose well-lit streets where people are about. Avoid dark, unfrequented areas Never leave your luggage unattended in public areas especially in airports and never accept packages from strangers Emergency situations If you find yourself in a situation where you need assistance or you would like to report that someone is in danger call 112 It is a wise idea to add to your mobile phone contact named ICE (In case of emergency) with a few numbers to your family or friends who may help if necessary Law To avoid problems during your stay in Poland, remember: In Poland drinking alcohol in public places is prohibited (this refers to streets, squares and parks), and is subject to a fine of 100 PLN. Disorderly behaviour, littering and public manifestation of behaviour taht is not socially acceptable (urinating, vomiting) are subject to a fine of 500 PLN Smoking in places where it is prohibited, such as at bus and tram stops subject to a fine of 500 PLN Remember to validate your ticket while using public transport Night curfew starts at 10 pm Money The polish unit of currency is the złoty (short, zł), although you will also see PLN used. One złoty is divided into 100 groszy, which are abbreviated into gr. Shops often seem unable to give change for larger denomination banknotes, so try to keep a good supply of coins on you. You can pay by credit card in almost every place. There are also plenty of cash machines (ATM) but remember that your bank will charge more than if you would change money in currency office. Foreign currencies may be exchanged in currency exchange offices that are situated in the very center in the city as well as outside. Avoid exchanging your money at the airport unless you have to, it is less profitable. Remember that exchanging foreign coins is less profitable also (up tp 40%)! It may be a wise idea to exchange your currency in your country to EUR or USD and then exhanging it in Poland to PLN. You will get much more Check currency course at: http://www.baksy.pl/kantor/kursy.php3 Calls from Poland, Internet All phone numbers should be prefaced with the country access code. Public telephones are commonplace, and phone cards can be purchased at any kiosk or newsstand. E.g. 452071375 becomes 007452071375 for Russian numbers. Find out what your country prefix is: http://countrycode.org/ Free wireless Internet is available in an increasingly large area of Krakow, mainly in the Market Square region and in the Karimierz district. Additionally, in the city centere, there are numerous Internet cafes and places offering payable connections in W-LAN technology (HotSpot). In may bars and restaurants you will get a free access. Shopping For foreigners (western Europe) shopping in Poland is good idea. We have lower prices because of EUR - PLN exchange course. Since one year I have started to couchsurf. I have been already to Italy (Milan), Malta, Brussels. I always liked traveling but before I used to do it with my friends or family. I am interested in current economic situation of EU, politics (as a kid I wanted to be one, now I am not sure). I have many plans and ideas what I can take up but you know, time and money.
