CURRENT MISSION To enjoy the beautiful people, places, sounds, sights, tastes, and smells that this planet has to offer. ABOUT ME I'm a personable, shy, adventurous, reserved, pensive, impulsive extroverted introvert. I've been working on a Ph.D now for almost five years and the end is in sight. I play piano for a living too. I love to read, love to dance, love to see/hear live music and catch all forms of art every chance I get. PHILOSOPHY Why do I live my life? I don't know...that's a tough question, because I don't think many of us think about *why* we live, we simply do live. Maybe living life is the easiest thing to do because you just do it -- we're doing it right now. That said, it's my personal philosophy (if I can call it that) to make those mundane aspects of "just living life" that much more enjoyable. I think about it like adding hot pepper sauce to a cheese sandwich: why not? I mean, it may not be delicious but it's at least interesting, right?

Musique, films et livres
Ahhhhh! Too many! Seriously! This is an impossible question. The last book I read that I really liked was Slavoj Zizek's "Living In The End Times," because I think Zizek is an endlessly entertaining and thought-provoking cultural critic. The last movie I saw and really enjoyed was the relatively new Steve McQueen film "Shame." Music? I can spend all DAY on this one.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I toured West Africa with a jazz trio, playing for school children and at least one head of state.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I... ...play piano. ...play drums. ...read a lot. ...am interested in philosophy. ...can cook pretty well.
