CURRENT MISSION Living in Abidjan ABOUT ME Having been born and raised in the Bay Area, I needed a change of scenery. Halfway through 2014, I knew I would eventually regret not taking time to travel the world - especially all of Asia. I gave my previous employer a 5 month notice and in November 2014, I ventured out with a one way ticket to S. Korea and haven't looked back since. PHILOSOPHY A great quote I stumbled upon recently makes all the sense in the world: "Distance and difference are the secret tonic of creativity. When we get home, home is still the same. But something in our mind has changed, and that changes everything."

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE I want to communicate with people from everywhere. This desire stems from when I was 10, I was lucky to spend 2 weeks in France with a host family. That was my first time outside the US. It was a life changing experience, even if I didn't realize it at the time, but being immersed in a different culture at that age opened my eyes to the possibility of travel. My last semester in university, I once again lived in France again but this time for 6 months. Very much looking forward to eventually settling somewhere in the world and becoming a host!
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Recently took a 3 night cargo boat ride in Northern Myanmar. I slept on the deck along with 10 or so Burmese families. Although we couldn't communicate vocally, it was one of the best experiences in my life. Just goes to show that we're all humans and we appreciate the same types of things no matter where we're from. Treat people with respect, project good vibes in the world and the universe will take care of you.
Mes centres d'intérêt
I love everything and anything regarding food as I'm always willing to try new things. Meeting new people. I like to stay active in my daily routine: running, hiking, basketball, swimming, biking, football.
