I love exploring places that are fresh and new to me, adventures and misadventures, making friends from other cultures, and helping people whenever I have the opportunity. I spent a lot of time outside, and keep an eye out for beauty in all its forms, at every scale. Although I love to travel whenever I can, I've found that you don't need to go very far from home to have the open and adaptable mentality of a traveler. I like meeting people from different backgrounds and I can be equally comfortable in the city or navigating my way through remote places. I've discovered bicycle touring as an amazing way to experience a place and meet people, and so far have have traveled by bike in the US, Cuba, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Dominican Republic, Morocco, Western Sahara, Mauritania, Senegal, Algeria, and Bangladesh. Trying new foods is always a huge highlight for me! I can be happy spending time alone but I also enjoy cutting loose, having fun and being silly with people who I've gotten to know well. I'm open-minded and I go with the flow, but I also stand up for things I believe in. I love being active and I'm usually up for anything, so if there's something you've been wanting to do, let's go! That said, I completely understand if you're busy or would rather have time to yourself. I'm very comfortable entertaining myself and exploring on my own.
