I used to have a lot of interactions via couch surfing when I was traveling and living in and around Moldova after high school. During my studies I haven't used it so much as I was so busy. I've met a lot of great people though it, both as hosts and as guests. I like the idea of getting together with strangers, getting to know places through their people and finding ways to travel that are affordable and less exploitative to urban space then airbnb.

I adore many books. I very much like Ann Petry's The Street, have recently enjoyed Luis Rodriguez' Always Running and am impressed by Loic Wacquants' Body & Soul.
