HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I tell all my friends about the joys of CS. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE We regularly have friends drop by and stay for a night, a week, or a few weeks. Whenever my husband and I plan a holiday, I look into couchsurfing options. It has become a permanent part of my travel plans.

Movies: Harold and Maude, Christopher Guest mockumentaries, Wes Anderson movies. Music: Ben Folds, Randy Newman, The Beatles, Sesame Street, Cat Stevens, Joni Mitchell, Uncle Bonsai, Joanna Newsom, Feist, Mike Doughty Books: Barbara Kingsolver, Margaret Atwood, Elizabeth Zimmermann.

I saw two tiny children running up a huge hill in the mountains of Peru, as the group I was with struggled to trudge along a flat path.

I can teach: Songwriting, cooking, nutrition, knitting, spinning, piano, singing, poetry, playwrighting, acting, thrift. I want to learn: Languages(Spanish, French, Mandarin, Japanese), bread-baking, weaving, more swing-dancing.
