***I've found it challenging to make time for guests and respond in a timely manner, hence I've placed this as not receiving guests. Please don't hesitate to reach out though, there is a always a chance. I am often looking for caretakers for 3 to 5 day stretches when I am on different projects.*** Just another tropical plant nerd. I've been in CR for a decade now and run a small business called, Porvenir Design. I help lodges, farms, homeowners, and so forth grow food and build soil, create habitat and improve water cycles. I teach Permaculture Design Courses at a number of sites around the country and live about 20 minutes outside of La Fortuna, near an eco-lodge called Finca Luna Nueva, which is my principle client. I'm an avid reader, fermenter, frisbee thrower and waterfall explorer. Would love spend more time cycling. Currently cooking a lot, doing some distillation, gardening like mad, and working on the yoga practice. I love dancing and I'm horrible at dancing. Instagram: @scottplantstrees

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I surfed through much of Central and South America over the last decade, but haven't used CS much recently. I finally have a spare bedroom and it is time to pay it back.
Musique, films et livres
So many books: 1491, One River, Small is Beautiful, The Little Prince, are just a smattering of what has inspired me over the years. All music makes me happy, especially the kind that makes me dance!
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Hitchhiked from Mexico-US border to Panama. Survived four years at an all male college. Lived in a Teepee for two months during a harsh Colorado winter. Led backpacking trips up and over volcanoes in Nicaragua. Led a trail crew on 14,000ft peaks in Colorado.
