CURRENT MISSION Make it around Europe in one piece! ABOUT ME I'm a New Zealand lass currently traveling in Europe. Before Europe I was living in Japan for two years, working as an assistant English teacher. It was pretty fantastic, although I'm enjoying the change of scene, as well as no longer having to mark essays about baseball and mechanical pencils. I've been spending August in Iceland, working/ hanging out at my friend's book cafe in Egilsstadir. It's a really awesome wee place- I almost don't want to leave! PHILOSOPHY 'Remember, you cannot be both young and wise. Young people who pretend to be wise to the ways of the world are mostly just cynics. Cynicism masquerades as wisdom, but it is the farthest thing from it. Because cynics don’t learn anything. Because cynicism is a self-imposed blindness, a rejection of the world because we are afraid it will hurt us or disappoint us. Cynics always say no. But saying “yes” begins things. Saying “yes” is how things grow. Saying “yes” leads to knowledge. “Yes” is for young people. So for as long as you have the strength to, say “yes".' — Stephen Colbert

Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I'm a bit of a kitchen fiend so I love to cook with or for guests/ hosts. Teaching-wise? I was an English teacher, so if you really want a lesson, I suppose that is a thing I can do.
