I am updating my about me for the first time in ELEVEN YEARS. I am a Canadian living in Tel Aviv. Lover of nature and outdoors, self-expression in many forms (writing, movement, etc. but I'm a little shy about it IRL), languages, travel, encountering interesting folks and learning new things. I like working with textiles. I am a birth-enthusiast and a baby-fanatic. I want to learn how to grow plants and vegetables.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I have found it to be a wonderful way to visit and experience new places and to meet excellent local people the world over! Likewise, hosting guests has been fun and I like showing folks the place where I live.
Musique, films et livres
I have been watching old Italian films lately but I like a wide range of movies. I'm a little bit addicted to watching movies. So many books! Authors I love: Ruth Ozeki, Spalding Gray, David Foster Wallace, Jhumpa Lahiri... oh and so many many more. Music-wise I like all sorts of things but I have a weakness for cheesy (and non-cheesy) country music, as well as quirky inventive singer-songwriter types...
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Here's from 11 years ago: I will only add that since writing the following, I have attended (a great many) (human) births - which is a truly incredible thing... * i lived in on with a cult for a while. they weren't just a cult they were many lovely things. they dance in white. i finally solo hitched and went budapest-to-brussels, i never felt so completely independent. i slept in some strange places those nights. that was kind of couchsurf-y. i saw a czech murderer cry.
