CURRENT MISSION On a journey around South America with my girlfriend for an indefinite period of time - looking to get around as much South American culture as possible while learning Spanish! Hoping to stretch this one out for at least 6 months, starting in Colombia. ABOUT ME I am a laid back fun loving Aussie guy who is travelling around South America with my girlfriend Zoe who is also Australian. We are aiming to learn Spanish and backpack our way from Colombia down the Western side (generally) of South America right down to Ushuaia and meet loads of people along the way. I've been looking forward to this trip for about half a decade, pretty damn excited to get it started! PHILOSOPHY To squeeze every last bit of fun out of this ride we call life before my turn is over

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING I participate by bringing a cheery disposition and a slice of my australian culture to other people when they host me, and when I get home I intend to host as many people as possible to show them that the west coast of Australia is equally as good as the east coast! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Everyone I have stayed with has been most definitely awesome, despite that now being about half a decade ago. They welcomed me (and my sister, who I was travelling with at the time) into their homes like old friends, shared their stories and views on the world with us and helped us to see their corner of the world in their eyes. This is exactly what I'm looking for from couch surfing - local opinions and knowledge and new friends! I can't believe I travelled for a year without using CS before, it seems ludicrous not to now.
Musique, films et livres
1984 and Catch 22 are two of my all time favourite books. Most music Noisia release or are apart of I love. The same goes for Black Sun Empire and Telemetrik. I'm also a fan of music from Jeff Buckley to Opeth to Pink Floyd and Kings of Leon and DJ Shadow to name a few. Bill Hicks, it should be noted, is a hero. A dead one maybe, but a hero none the less. I think you can tell a lot about my sense of humour from the TV I watch: Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Sopranos, Flight of the Conchords and The Mighty Boosh are all favourites.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Climbing the great wall of china was pretty awesome, trekking in Thailand was great as well. Snowboarding in the Tatras in Poland for a couple of months was a brilliant experience also. Trekking the Himalayas in Nepal was one of my life's greatest experiences. Not easy but very rewarding.
