Hello! I'm Alexandra (everyone calls me Alex), was born and raised in Zimbabwe and moved to Ireland eight years ago. After completing University and a two year work contract i'm keen to move on and live somewhere new. While figuring this out and searching for jobs I decided to do some travelling with a trusty 60 litre backpack :) So far i've experienced some of the beautiful culture and nature of Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand. As the biggest highlight i've met some wonderful people, travellers alike and residents.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
CS was recommended to me by a few people i've met along my travels as a good way to experience the local/real life of different places. It also seems like a great way to meet new people and share/exchange experiences of travel and life as well as the culture and nature of places.
Musique, films et livres
Just finished 'Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow' by Yuval Noah Harari (highly recommend, and his 'Sapiens: A History of Humankind'). All music - depends on the mood, except hard core rap maybe...keen on live acoustic guitar/bands as well as classical music (I play the cello), classic rock, 80s/90s.. I love movies (just had a marathon splurge on the matrix trilogy) and documentaries (most recent InnSaei: the Power of Intuition).
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Most recently, took the plunge and got certified as a PADI open water diver!
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
If you have a cello around, i'd be happy to give a lesson on the basics. I'd like to learn Spanish.
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
Life and travel experiences, laughter, conversation, a drink :)
