In my experience, the best way to get to know a new place is through its people. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to do that.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Climbed 2 vulcanos in Indonesia.. Lived with the locals in India and celebrating Holi (the festival of colors) with them.. Sky dived.. Lived in the Alps with a very traditional german family for a month..
