Hey there! My name is Anthony, and I'm currently spending my last month in Los Angeles before I move to NYC to start a teaching program. I spent 10 months studying in Madrid, and got to travel all around Europe. I identify very strongly as a queer person of color, and am always on the lookout for other QTPOC who understand the struggle.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I can do hostels, but they get old really fast, and aren't nearly as interesting as getting to know a place with a local. My most memorable times in Europe have always been thanks to hosts who were kind enough to take me into their home and show me the beauty their cities had to offer. I have couchsurfed all across Europe in places like Greece (Thessaloniki and Athens), Oporto, Portugal, Amsterdam, Netherlands and Italy (Venice and Milano). I have loved the incredible conversations and experiences that my hosts have provided me with, and hope to share more of these memories with other hosts. I'm very independent when it comes to traveling, and while at times I do like to explore a city on my own, I absolutely love getting to know a place with my host accompanying me and to see how locals live their everyday lives.
Musique, films et livres
Music obsessions changes from month to month, but at the moment I'm all about SZA, Doja Cat, Ravyn Lenae, Little Dragon, and much more. Favorite books right now are everything ever written by Toni Morrison (special love for The Bluest Eye, Beloved, Paradise, and Jazz). Lots of love for Octavia Butler, Maya Angelou, Gloria Anzaldúa, Janet Mock, and Audre Lorde. Also getting better at reading Spanish (currently reading La Casa de los Espíritus) Fav heartbreaking movie is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I fall for it every damn time.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I saw the Aurora Borealis in Norway. The entire experience was out of a dream.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I can teach you some English and Spanish (I'm admittedly terrible at explaining why things are the way there are though).
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
I can share my own experiences in the U.S. and in Europe, my writing, my friendship, my awkwardness, my queer brown brilliance and I can bake some great dessert if I can get my hands on some ingredients.
Mes centres d'intérêt
QTPOC brilliance, literature, film, exploring, art, dismantling the white supremacist cisheteropatriarchy, etc.
