What can I say? I come from the edge of the world - New Zealand - the land of the All Blacks, sheep, and Lord of the Rings. Currently in France teaching English to the young'uns, I've loved the idea of travel for as long as I can remember and now that I'm actually travelling, life has never been so good!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
My first Couchsurfing experience was only in September 2015 in Tours, but what I've very quickly discovered is that Couchsurfing is one of the best ways to travel. You get to meet people from all around the world, share your cultures and languages, get all the super cool inside information of the local area, and make great friends. But you knew all that already!
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Probably my favourite experience so far was climbing a mountain in Laos just to swim in a tiny, freezing, natural pool.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
Teach: Here in France I teach English and I'd be happy to help anyone out with their English skills. Or I could teach you some basic Maori words. Learn: Help me learn some important (and also maybe not so important) words and expressions in your language. Share: My culture is surely different to yours - let me share it with you (and please share yours with me!)
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
Stories of faraway places, a genuine smile, and a super-cliche try-anything attitude.
Mes centres d'intérêt
If you teach me a little of your language, I'll be your friend for life. Languages are my passion (even if I unfortunately only speak 2.5 for the moment). I studied politics and international relations because they interested me. But my true interest is in looking at how politics can be used to remedy situations, how it isn't being used to do so in many cases, and what can be done to change that. Other interests include team sports of any kind (but if you can talk to me about rugby, you're a champ), hiking, camping, cooking, and adventure!
