CURRENT MISSION To explore the world and find my place in its immeasurable vastness. ABOUT ME I am a science student at the University of British Columbia. I have been travelling by bicycle since the age of 18, I have found that some of my best work was done road. Since my primary hobby these days is photography, I cant wait for the summer to plan tours and really get out and capture some of the beauty of this world every year. I have been working retail since the age of 16, and living on my own since the age of 17. I like biology and english in school, math and chemistry not so much. I took a course in sustainable science or environmental sciences, in which I was very interested in the content and the way we can aim to improve the quality of this earth in this every-so-growing problem of pollution and global warming. This topic has been growing on me, and perhaps may be a career path I choose to follow. PHILOSOPHY Some may find it hard to understand why I like it out in the wild more than the comfort of my own home. There is something to be said about hedonic adaptation I suppose, and every fibre of my being wishing me to not succumb to a mundane routinely fashioned life. At least not until I make my mark on this planet! My parents have always raised me with the mentality of, "No pain, no gain." So ever since I was quite young, I was always able to grit my teeth in order to achieve my dreams. Being a student, I am not the wealthiest man on the planet, but I am more than capable of doing work for a bed and a meal. With my trips and cycling, I really just aim to improve my own person, and through that hope to motivate others to do the same. I am inspired by many people in my life, and the philosophy of Elliot Hulse, is one of them. "To always aim to become the strongest version of yourself, so that you may invoke that same fire in the hearts of those around you." I am fuelled by those who tell me they are moved by what I do; for me that is the ultimate reward.
