When i travel, i much prefer to meet people than just to see sites. At home, i have hosted touring musicians who perform at my monthly house concert venue, for over 25 years.

I perform traditional music from cultures around the world, including music from Québec, New England, Appalachia, Ireland, France, Galicia, Basque, Venezuela, Brazil, Cuba, Africa. I play piano, flute, banjo, vielle a roue. Favorite authors include Carlos Ruiz Zafón, Joanne Harris, Colson Whitehead, Amor Towles, John LeCarre, Fredrik Backman, Mario Vargas Llosa. Favorite movies too numerous to mention, but i particularly love screwball comedies from the 1940's, European spy movies and thrillers, stories involving time travel.
