I'm an early twenty something taking a gap year between my bachelors and my masters. I've got a professional passion for human rights and international relations, and a personal passion for experiencing new cultures, meeting new people, and seeing the look on people's faces when I say I don't drink beer.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I'm au-pairing in Valencia, Spain at the moment and I intend on staying here until the end of June. Being an au-pair is tricky because there's not really a community of readily available people to meet with. It's not like studying abroad or travelling through hostels where you'll tend to encounter like-minded people. It's moving into someones house in a regular community, with suburbs and a lot of trouble-making highschoolers who yell outside your window every Friday night. Anyways, that's why I'm here!
Musique, films et livres
I like house music, alternative, indie-rock, electronic, hip-hop, r&b. Pretty much anything that isn't country. Or reggaeton. I really like the movie Coraline for some reason. I like to imagine it's got symbolism to all our lives. And I'm a huge fan of Junot Diaz, the author.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Oh geez... I got into Berghain once?
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I'm also here to learn Spanish. My mother is Mexican so I've got the basics down but I'm here to learn. If you can aid me in this, I offer English lessons, a genuinely friendly Canadian personality, and a rant about any political situation you'd like to hear about.
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
An open mind, a friendly companion, and a well-practiced wink.
