CURRENT MISSION Creating a fair, just and sustainable world PHILOSOPHY My long-term goals involve: - US energy independence from both foreign and fossil fuels - Sustainable communities that can provide food, water, energy, and necessary services (education, health care, etc) to their members from local sources, without degrading the global ecosystem or exploiting other humans - safely and humanely reduce global population to a level the planet can sustain (through reduced birthrates, not increased death rates) My short-term goals are to educate students, adults and community leaders, unite them as much as possible, and empower them to lead action on: - reducing energy consumption - supporting local, sustainable agriculture - reducing and eventually eliminating solid waste - understanding sustainability and restoring ecosystems
