We are a married couple growing grapes in Ibara City. We would love to host people who are interested in experiencing the daily life of locals in a small city. What we expect from our couch surfers is cultural exchange. Our goal is to build a relationship in which people from different cultures can understand and respect each other. ABOUT LOCATION We do not live in Okayama City. We live in Ibara City, which is about one hour from Okayama station by train (you need to make one transfer). This is not an urban or exciting area, but you can enjoy the simple, rural lifestyle. Our house is located about 5 km from Ibara Station. You can come to our house by bus from the station, but if the timing works, we may also be able to pick you up at the station. HOUSE RULES ・When no one is at home, please do not use anything that could cause a fire, such as the kitchen or the stove. ・Please avoid making loud noises after 9 p.m. ・Please join us for dinner whenever possible—we would love to talk with you.We work on weekdays and our children have lessons on weekends, so we will mostly be able to communicate with guests in the evenings. ・You are welcome to eat the meals I prepare. However, we cannot provide vegetarian meals or special meals for religious or ideological reasons. Please prepare those yourself if needed.
