Update: I seldom take guests on this platform. I love ya'll and WWOOFing is more of how I'm flowing with the tides these days. You can find me on that platform under the farm name Swelling Well. It's best to find me there but you can reach out to me on here with questions about WWOOFing. Or, if you host significantly more than you surf, you are welcome:) Blessings on your journeys ya'll! - Dusty I'm very happy to be a part of this wonderful community and I love that we all do it differently. When I went to Europe, CS made my travels possible. While there, I was blown away at the hospitality. One host, took the day off and gave me a tour around the city and country side. Yes, that is a segue to say that I won't be doing that. I've got a busy life. I ride my bike to yoga early in the morning then stop by a garden I tend to pick my lunch before I head to the university to work in lab. In the evening, I do various things: Monday: women's group: Tuesday free but usually schedule time with friends, Wednesday Music night, Thursday, group (it changes and some of there events I'd be delighted if you joined). I absolutely believe in the pay it forward model that I feel like CS encourages. I have received so mush from CS! But, the choice for me came down to not hosting anymore or asking my guests to be independent and even contribute (not financially, but perhaps cooking breakfast or dinner, taking out the trash etc). On a similar note, I value clarity in communication. Don't be afraid to say what you want, offer a time to meet, be the first to send their number, etc. I've got a couch and I want to keep it open for ya'll and I know that I'll do that if we can communicate as clearly as possible. This doesn't mean that I'm not friendly, or that I don't love to sit down with a cup of tea and talk for an hour, I do! In fact, it's because I want more of that in my life that and less screen time that, well, I'm not overly friendly via text or messenger. I hope you can jive!

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I started hosting before I knew about Couchsurfing. People would come into the restaurant that I worked asking about my home town and I would let them camp in my parent's back yard. Joining CS was a natural progression.
