Sometimes instead of AirBnB and renting a whole appartement it might be nice to just stay with some locals closer to the city. Especially for city "day" or weekend trips where you basically just need a place to crash or stash your suitcase while exploring the city. Plus I assume a host would have some good tips and maybe even be up for drinks or joining in the city tours. At the very least you have someone with a different background to have conversations with. Maybe even pickup some new knowledge, hobbies, understanding etc.

Very vast music interests! just to name a few i listen to repeatedly Rock - Foo Fighters and Alter Bridge, oh and Wolfmother Classic Rock - The Who, Led Zeplin, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix Emo Rock - My Chemical Romance Indie Rock- Tame Impala, White Lies, Razorlight Indie Pop - Jarryd James, Hozier, Amos Lee, RHODES, Vance Joy, Birdy, RY X, Nick Mulvey, Matt Corby, James Vincent McMorrow R&B - Stevie Wonder, Maxwell, Bruno Mars. Allan Stone, Macklemore Classical Music - Tchaikovsky, Listz, Rachmaninov, Phillip Glass, Max Richter, Debussy, Grieg, Ravel, Mussorgsky Movies I like horror and lots of cult classics. But I really tend to admire cinematography. Like how Wes Anderson creates great composition. But also Christopher Nolan's films. Also love the visual imagery Zhang Yimou creates in movies like House of a 1000 flying daggers or The Curse of the Golden Flower. I like all anime from Ghibli. I like Game of Thrones. Strong dialogs by Aaron Sorkin like in Newsroom or Billions. Visual mastery in Hannibal. But also just laughing at the hilariousness of Family Guy or Final Space. Books My favourite book is "Sea of Glass" by Barry B Longyear. For some reason I gave myself the task to read 100 classics. Ulysses, Beyond Good and Evil, War and Peace, Lolita, A Tale of Two Cities, Great Expectations, Animal Farm, 1984, you get the gist. Haven't gotten very far though. I think i've read just under 20.
