I'm a curious guy who loves to meet new people, share a drink and talk about our own great questions in life. I love to explore new places and learn people's different ways of living an everyday life, and this interest have taken me through my studies and shown me that we need to think radically different about our common environment and the global power dynamics that inhabit it. Therefore, I am right now in Kenya on a field course as part of my studies, trying to understand how farmers use digital services to educate themselves about climate change and its effect on their agriculture. Before my field work, I'd love to get to know people in Nairobi, share a drink, and learn how life is is experienced in this corner of the world.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Curiousness comes easy to me, and I've always rather wanted to meet people living and working in the places I travel to rather than (just) other touristes and travellers like myself. Through my studies in Anthropology, I've learned that people live, experience and understand the world in many different ways. I'd like to get to know some of them before I finish my studies and need to put my knowledge into work. In short, I really want to hang out with and get to know new people!
Musique, films et livres
I looove jazz funk. But I find the beauty in (almost) every genre of music from classical to folk to afrobeat to rock'n'roll to today's newest pop hit. I think I'm quite influenced by American pop culture in general. I'm a big Star Wars fan, I've seen almost every Marvel film and TV show, and I'm currently trying to watch as many of the great pictures, like Shawshank Redemption, Bladerunner, and Pulp Fiction. But I really do love the Japanese Studio Ghibli and the childish, curious, and forgiving vibe those films give. I'd love to watch more movies and listen to more music from other countries than the US. I recently read Kenyan Binyavanga Wainaina's memoir " One Day I Will Write about this Place" which was an amazing insight into doubt, amginousness, love and family. I do love American-Nigerian Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "Half of a Yellow Sun". Brilliant book! Otherwise, I really like American Dan Brown's "Da Vinci Code" and non-fictional works like "Factfullness" by the Swedish doctor Hans Rosling or "The Dawn of Everything" by the American anthropologist David Graeber and British archaeologist David Wengrow.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
I've played Clarinet in a marching band half of my life. I don't know if its amazing but it definitely was an experience.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I have a lot of fun facts about different cultures, history, religion, and such. But I think I'm mostly couchsurfing to learn from other people - especially the people's favourite songs!
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
I can share my kindness, my curiousness about your way of living, my time, and my wishes to hang out and to help in the household if needed.
