If you come to Bogotá here are some ideas For breakfast: -Caldo de costilla ( soup of ribs ), - Huevos pericos ( if you want eggs ), -Changüa ( milk and egg soup with bread inside ), -Tamal ( don't know how to explain but its really good ), -Arepas (always arepas in any style : my favorite: arepa de huevo) Drink: -Salpicón ( juice of mixed fruits with actual cuts of fruits inside ) ( you can find that normally in the street ) - Agua de panela (cane juice) my favorite ( hot drink) - Chocolate con Queso ( hot chocolate - put the cheese inside the chocolate, like we do ) Lunch/Dinner: - Ajiaco ( at la puerta falsa, look for the sign " el mejor ajiaco del mundo" ) - Lechona ( pork with rice and veggies - Frijolada ( Beens ) - Peto Snacks: - Arepa ( yes, we love arepa ) - Almohabana - Pan de yuca - Pan de bono - Empanada - Papa rellena New Fruits: - Lulo ( lulada: its a juice, normally its a fruit for juice) - Guayaba ( Guava ) - Guanabana - Carambolo - Chontaduro - Mangostino - Mamoncillo - Zapote - Granadilla - Pitalla ( almost all you find it at supermarkets ) Deserts: - Arroz con Leche ( rice with milk base) - Postre de Natas - GO TO Alpina Store and try everything - Merengón - Cuajada con Melao - Oblea - Fresas con crema
