After 10 years in NYC, I decided to pack up and travel the world for the next year or more. Some call this a career gap, some call it amazing, and some call it crazy. I think it's all three. This adventure is about slow travel and experiencing different places and cultures. Of course I love meeting and sharing experiences with old and new friends alike –that's why I'm on here! I'm a solo traveler and welcome the company over drinks or while exploring. Starting in August I'll be in Hawaii for over a month before jumping to Japan, South Korea, China... My itinerary is not set but I'm looking at a lot of other places: Vietnam, Sri Lanka, India, Nepal, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, Australia, New Zealand, Israel, Greece, Jordan, Holland, other places in Europe TBD. I'm easy going and love a good conversation, but also know the value of alone time. I will always ask where the best place to watch the sunset is and am always up for an adventure. Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
The best experience is the local experience. I would prefer to try your favorite restaurant or meal, swimming hole, hike, or off-the-beaten-path gem, rather than sift through countless travel books or have a cold, hotel experience. Whatever it is, you know best. The world is too full of amazing people not to make friends. Whether it's for an afternoon, a week or longer, let's have a good time. Once I have a home-base again, I will be sure to pay it forward and open my home to the CS community. I'd be happy to share my favorite places with you!
Musique, films et livres
Books: anything by Margaret Atwood, but I'm currently into non-fiction Movies/TV: I'm a sucker for a good story and anything entertaining, which excludes horror films.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Amazing things happens when I push myself. Learning to scuba, jumping out a plane (twice), backcountry ski. Quit my job to pursue the unknown. It's also amazing that I know most of my friend's birthdays, without checking Facebook.
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
Marketing, yourself or a business. I grew up on a horse farm (18 years) and lived in the NYC (10 years), so if you want to know how to ride a horse or how to navigate the subway, I have you covered. I'm happy to help out with housework and not afraid to get my hands dirty. If you're interested, I have an excellent family recipe for ribs I can make.
