As a means to travel cost effectively, while also being able to truely experience the culture of the place, on a level that you wouldn't get in other forms of accomodation. You get to hang out and make friends with people in cities all over the world which I think is really special.

Kind of everything really, there's so many uniquely talented artist out there, from street performers right up to artists selling out stadiums. My favourite genre would have to be chilled electronic though, movie is the lion king and book is the Redwall series.
