This appeals to me for accomplishing my goals because I have the opportunity for understanding only earned through the intimate experience of living with people from the area.

I like all kinds of music. I'm expanding my taste into Brazilian and Uruguayan bands to help facilitate my language absorption. I can appreciate films as good art and also a means to drown the silence. My favorite books would have to be A Confederacy of Dunces, House of Leaves, and Brave New World. I'm a fan of Nietzsche, which conflicts with my curiosity of metaphysics.
