I would describe myself as an optimistic and positive person who is always up for new experiences, places and people. Right now, most of my time is spent for my studies which I will (hopefully!) end within the next 1,5 years or so. Also, I am working quite a lot as a student assistant which brings me some insight within academic work and practical experiences in the work with refugees. BUT besides that I always try to make some time for travelling and getting a little distance from my everyday-life.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I love to show people the places I love and would like to experience the same in other cities! Plus, it's always so inspiring and refreshing learning about other people's lifes and philosophies and getting out of your "comfort-bubble".
Musique, films et livres
Where to start?! Mostly I'm listening to bands (my favourite are The National, Interpol and Radiohead) but also to older stuff (Bob Dylan always amazes me) or Techno/Electronica, Jazz and Classic Music. Quite recently I am more and more into World Music which adds up to one of my favorite hobbies, dancing salsa. Regarding to books I love to get enchanted by beautiful stories as well as by funny and more serious ones. Jonathan Safran Foer and Nick Hornby always succeed in that. I love these beautiful independent movies just like Eternal Sunshine for a Spotless Mind, Big Fish or Fight Club.
Une chose incroyable que j'ai faite
Riding a donkey through Tuscany was a pretty amazing thing as well as hitchhiking through Bosnia and Herzegovina! My experiences of studying abroad (Zagreb and Prague) taught me a lot - not only about best local beer also what it means to settle in an unknown country and getting your stuff together. Not always easy but always worth the experience!
Enseigner, apprendre, partager
I can share my vegan cooking skills, teach you German basics (swear words included!) and am an excellent conversation partner for both meaningful and -less topics.
Ce que je peux offrir à mes hôtes
a lot of smiles! Long and passionate discussions about everything! I would reward my host with some delicious, self-prepared food. I respect all kinds of rules and am not demanding anything so you can be sure to have an easy-going time with me
Mes centres d'intérêt
I love to cook delicious vegan food (but don't worry - I wont try to convince you), can discuss hours and hours about movies, music and books - and if I have enough energy and patience (probably also one or two beers) I also can get easily involved in political discussions, so beware! On the weekends I love to hang out with friends, go to concerts or on trips (or just relax). I was working as a volunteer in a refugee-organisation (and am still involved in it) which was probably the most important and rewarding thing I have ever done - crossing cultural boundaries, getting confronted with stories you'd not even dream of or to just share good Arabic food with each other brought me a lot closer to the person I really want to be. It made me become much more open and curious about things and gave me energy to believe that things can be changed as impossible it sometimes seems.
