Hey, I'm Katie! I joined Couchsurfing a while back but haven't used it much and am excited to see what the community is all about. I'm 33 years old and from the US but have been nomading for the better part of the last 6 years working in various jobs around the world and working remotely for a US company. I enjoy most of the highlights - hiking, beer drinking, cooking, etc.

While it's true that I'm on a budget, I am also looking for a more authentic experience. I have found that most of my fondest memories while traveling happen when I'm with a local or experiencing the place in a different way. I would love to meet people who live where I am visiting and get insider tips while hopefully making new friends along the way. :)

Books: Love a good historical fiction, thriller or memior Movies: Lord of the Rings nerd. Generally into most movies, depending on the day. Music: Latin pop and raggaeton
