I'm Kitty from China, used to live in Lund, currently living in Stockholm and studying at handels (Stockholm school of economics). My general interests are humanity, technology, and sustainability. Having lived in a foreign (west) country for a while, I found myself becoming much more confident and willing to express myself. (I used to be quite shy and afraid of showing myself in public). What‘s more, I understand China more from a critical perspective and give some new insights to my foreign friends about their stereotypes of China. (It's not about dichotomies, just different views.) That also makes me realize what makes me right now, both from society, culture and family. Therefore, I began to accept myself more and much more open-mind. That feels good. Then, I would like to meet people from different countries and cultures to know myself and understand the world better.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
The first time I try Couchsurfing was when I attended an innovation program called Mad(Make a Difference) in Hongkong. I met a really really nice host who shared me some nights, took us to see one of the most extraordinary night scenery in HK, told many changes and history in that place and also got to know some new CSer whom we still keep in touch with. From then on, I found it's a perfect way to meet local people and better understanding their culture by Couchsurfing while going to a new place. Sometimes I read the profile of CSs, it came to me "How your life is sooo interesting!", which encourages me to travel to more places to meet these people (This is also the reason why I choose to study in Europe). Meeting friends with different cultural backgrounds is one of the exciting things in my life. When I was in AIESEC, a well-known youth organization in the world, we did a volunteering job with people from other countries. Those multi-cultural experiences taught me to be more open-mid and inclusive.
Musique, films et livres
I love classical music, making me feel peaceful. I can play an African instrument called Kalimba and learn Guzheng and Hulusi, both Chinese traditional instruments since I was young. #Music: Sleeping at last James Arthur Ed Sheeran Sam Smith #Podcast The minimalism The daily by NYT #Series Black mirror
