Hello everyone in Couchsurfing Land. I'm a tall, friendly, happy, sporty guy from Christchurch. I live with my Japanese wife and our baby in a 2-bedroom apartment less than 2km from the central city. Normally I can't host but my wife and baby will be in Japan in November 2025 so I might be able to (but another friend from overseas will stay for a time so it depends). If I'm with you on a Saturday morning you could join me for the 5km parkrun (you can walk or run) and perhaps go to Pineglades Nudist Resort in nearby Rolleston for a swim. I lived in Japan for 12 years. I've been to North Korea but only for 48 hours. I've run 20 marathons in 8 countries. I like reading novels and non-fiction books, and doing jigsaws. I like hamburgers, Japanese food, and beer from anywhere! I like swimming at lakes, beaches and pools. I love sauna and hot springs.
