CURRENT MISSION Live Small! Reduce impact on Planet Earth! Grow a great garden! Jim & I like life in the slow lane, we like taking a walk every morning. We enjoy meeting people, sharing a glass of wine and some good food. We do all our own cooking, Michelle follows a carbohydrate free diet (for health reasons). Internet available at mother house. Cell phone reception is sketchy. PHILOSOPHY Don't do anything without thinking about what impact that action will have on fellow people, the earth and all that is therein. If it's fun, do it twice!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING If you just want to stop in for a drink, feel free! *We do not take on big gangs of people looking for a free campsite. *CYCLISTS: please step off your mileage before you contact us...Toronto is a lo-o-o-ong bike ride away from Lanark! COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE Have hosted for three summers. Have surfed for one winter of road travel. Hosted two sets of couchsurfers aboard our boat.

We live in a trailer, completely off the grid. No drugs or cigarettes. On a clear day, there is cell phone reception. We use a composting toilet. See my blog, listed under "General Info". We love to share and learn about Living Small with others, and really enjoy meeting people: young, old, by the ton!

Anything new and interesting: new books, living within a small footprint, mini-house design & construction, organic farming & gardening gab. We are pro-earth, but not fanatics. Love a good book, people who drop by for tea. Michelle is a knitter, Jim likes to build things.
