I am a poet currently enrolled in the MFA program at University of Montana. I’m bookish and idealistic (let’s watch the sunset on a bridge! the city at night is a painting!) I love board games, dance parties and drinking wine. I like to cook and eat and try new things. I like street art and live music. When I go to museums I like to sit in front of one piece forever.

Now that I’m home I want to give back to the Couchsurfing community who treated me so well on my solo trip through Europe.

Books I love: Frank O'Hara's Lunch Poems, Emily Dickinson, Virginia Woolf, Sophocles, the Beats, Anne Sexton, Plato, The Romantics (John Keats is my heart), James Baldwin, Just Kids by Patti Smith, The Magicians by Lev Grossman, Music: My favorite band is The Magnetic Fields. I also love The Mountain Goats, Kate Bush, David Bowie, Amanda Palmer, Charles Mingus, Cocteau Twins, Joni Mitchell, La Femme, LCD Soundsystem, Manu Chao, Cat Stevens, Mulatu Astatke. Jazz, Riot grrrl, dreamy synthy pop. One movie I love is John Carpenter’s Dark Star. comedies! scifi! romance! art films!
